Unveiling GRETCHEN's Tango Small Shoulder Bag: A Blend of Nature, Architecture, and Craftsmanship

The Tango Small Shoulder Bag, designed by Anne Christin Schmitt, is inspired by the structures of a leaf. The profile lines underneath the leather reflect this natural influence, while the soft calf leather sides offer ample space inside the bag. The bag's design is not only aesthetically pleasing but also practical, offering two wearing options: a single strap for cross-body wearing or a doubled strap for under-the-arm carrying.

What sets this bag apart from others are the hand-applied profiling details underneath the leather. These details add dimension and richness to the clean shape of the bag. The main body is made from glazed leather, contrasting with the soft waxed calf skin leather that provides an incredibly pleasant touch.

The Tango Small Shoulder Bag is a product of meticulous craftsmanship. It takes eight pairs of hands and 240 minutes to create this shoulder bag from 18 hand-cut pieces and over 2310 stitches. The bag measures 24 cm in height, 27 cm in width, and 14 cm in depth, with a handle range of 30 cm to 60 cm. The bag is made from the finest calf leather, reflecting GRETCHEN's commitment to quality.

The design process for the Tango Small Shoulder Bag took one season (6 months) and was carried out in GRETCHEN's design studio in Berlin, Germany. The design team faced the challenge of creating a bag that was not only elegant but also practical, with a unique feature and a high standard of quality. The hand-made profile structures were chosen as the 'special something' for the bag.
