The Castle "In love with the wind"

Tourist attraction in Ravadinovo, Bulgaria

The Castle "In love with the wind" is a unique tourist attraction in Ravadinovo, Bulgaria. Designed by Mr. George Tumpalov, this magical castle is inspired by childhood dreams and fairy tales. With its impressive architecture and stunning surroundings, it has become a popular destination for tourists from around the world.

The construction of the Castle was inspired by a childhood dream to build a magical castle, just like the ones in fairy tales. While the style of the Castle is reminiscent of buildings from the Renaissance and Romantic period, its true style is the "Magic Style." The nickname "In love with the wind" comes from the extraordinary natural phenomenon where the sun shines only when the wind blows.

What sets this Castle apart is its unique properties and strengths. The main body of the building is a huge cross-shaped structure covered with shining copper leafs. The combination of the sunlight, the stone's crystals, and the copper metal creates an incredible atmosphere during sunrise and sunset. The Castle is made primarily from natural Marble Limestone, giving it a timeless and eternal quality.

The Castle is a private project that started in 1996 when the designer drew a big cross in a field near the village of Ravadinovo. The main building, chapel, winery, art gallery, and other outlets are all made from natural Marble Limestone. The stones used in the construction are between 250 and 270 million years old, according to tests conducted by the Bulgarian Academy of Science. No artificial materials were used, and the main goal was to create a building that would stand the test of time.

The Castle's specifications are impressive. It is a cross-shaped building with dimensions of 75 by 32 meters and a height of 29 meters. The roof is covered with 53 tons of copper metal, and there is a 5-meter deep artificial lake. The surrounding park boasts over 3000 different flowers and trees, creating a beautiful and serene environment.

The Castle "In love with the wind" is not only a tourist attraction but also a place for various events and competitions. It attracts over 1 million tourists every year, making it the biggest tourist attraction in Bulgaria. The Castle offers a range of activities for visitors of all ages, from treasure hunts for kids to ghost hunting and "Seven Deadly Sins" for adults.

The Castle is located near the biggest Black Sea tourist resorts in Bulgaria, making it easily accessible for visitors. The project started in 1996 and is still under construction, with many pending ideas to be realized. The designer, Mr. George Tumpalov, is also the architect, constructor, and landscape designer of the Castle.

The Castle "In love with the wind" is a testament to the power of dreams and imagination. It is a place where visitors can escape into a world of magic and beauty. With its unique design, stunning surroundings, and range of activities, it is no wonder that it has received numerous awards and accolades, including the prestigious A' Design Award in 2016.
