Sail Vision: A Revolutionary Design Concept by PONE ARCHITECTURE

Golden A' Design Award Winner, Sail Vision, Challenges Traditional Spaces with its Innovative Design

Sail Vision, a sales center designed by PONE ARCHITECTURE, is a revolutionary design concept that challenges traditional spaces. Located in Wuhan's Golden Axis, the design draws inspiration from the youthful energy of the surrounding campuses. The design is unique in its use of space, form, and light, creating a dynamic and engaging environment.

Sail Vision covers an area of 690 square meters and is characterized by its unique structure. The building features an outward sloping roof, with the front part standing at 14.7 meters high and the rear part at 2.8 meters. This unique structure is broken down and restructured using linear deconstruction theory, introducing a brand-new order and creating a space that is contrary to traditional designs.

The interior of the building is designed as a large funnel, attracting visitors and leading them to the exhibition space. The space is linked across five layers, each progressively smaller than the last. This design not only maximizes the use of space but also creates a dynamic and engaging environment for visitors.

Lighting plays a crucial role in the design of Sail Vision. A simple lighting system was installed in the center of the building, using ground lamps and device lights to create a soft and lively atmosphere. The lighting system also utilizes the principle of diffuse reflection, making the white triangle block in the second layer the key lamp sheet in the hall.

The design also features a front desk and a sand-tray model showcase, both formed by multiple sets of triangle facets. The combination of youthful and fashionable colors with linear conceptual design stimulates visitors' vision of future life. The design also includes 71 thin metal wires and 20 glimmering thick woodwinds installed in the hollow ceiling, providing the space with a flexible life and dynamic quality.

Sail Vision was completed in October 2015 in Wuhan. The project was a winner of the prestigious Golden A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2016. This award is granted to outstanding and trendsetting creations that advance art, science, design, and technology.

In conclusion, Sail Vision is a revolutionary design concept that challenges traditional spaces. Through its innovative use of space, form, and light, it creates a dynamic and engaging environment that stimulates the thinking and creativity of young people. It is a testament to the innovative and forward-thinking approach of PONE ARCHITECTURE.
