Sun Liming's inspiration for the Wuxi Barber Shop came from the interior layout's resemblance to a half hexagon. This led him to incorporate hexagonal elements as a fundamental design symbol, creating a visually striking space that seamlessly connects each functional area. The result is a unique visual feast for visitors, with each part of the interior showcasing its own distinct characteristics.

The Wuxi Barber Shop stands out from its counterparts through its unique features. Hexagonal black and white mosaics, stainless steel plate walls, and large circular mirrors define the stylish space. These elements, combined with the use of materials such as black-white hexagonal Mosaic tile, stainless steel mould board, galvanized bronze stainless steels, wood composite floor and spray iron plate, create an ambiance of simplicity, fashion, and craftsmanship.

Located in the Babaiban Business District in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, the Wuxi Barber Shop covers a business area of 420 square meters. Sun Liming and his design team worked diligently to transform the space into an artistic haven, a departure from the common barber shop aesthetic. The aim was to create a space where customers could appreciate the beauty of industrial design while enjoying their grooming experience.

One of the challenges faced during the design process was creating a stylish and exquisite atmosphere. This was achieved by incorporating large areas of concrete painted tiles adorned with plated metal strips mounting constellation graphics. The result is a space that is not only functional but also visually captivating.

The Wuxi Barber Shop has been recognized for its innovative design, winning the prestigious Golden A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2017. This award is granted to outstanding creations that reflect the designer's prodigy and wisdom, advance art, science, design, and technology, and significantly impact the world with their desirable characteristics.
