Pristine Moon: A Necklace Inspired by Nature and Ethnic Culture

Pristine Moon draws its inspiration from the Hmong people of Vietnam, who have a unique imagination of Mother Nature. The Hmong's jewelries and clothes are adorned with symbols of nature, and it is this rich cultural heritage that inspired Kim Anh Vy to create this exquisite necklace. The design combines the shape of the moon and the intricate carved details from the Hmong's jewelries and clothes, paying homage to an ancient God in their tales.

What sets Pristine Moon apart is its simplicity and elegance. The necklace features a round pendant inspired by the crescent moon, suspended from a simple open collar. The sterling silver material enhances the beauty of a woman's neck and carries the mystery of an ancient symbol of the Earth. This design seamlessly blends modern and traditional elements, making it suitable for casual, formal, and bohemian styles.

Pristine Moon is meticulously crafted using traditional silver jewelry-making techniques. The collar and pendant are hand-made, ensuring attention to detail and quality.

The collar necklace dimensions are 133mm x 5mm x 133mm, while the pendant dimensions are 50mm x 9mm x 54mm.

This necklace is not only a beautiful piece of jewelry but also a symbol of a woman's beauty and history. It can be easily worn with any outfit, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication. Whether paired with casual clothes, bohemian styles, or formal dresses, Pristine Moon shines with its simplicity and pristine beauty.

Kim Anh Vy began researching ethnic jewelries in 2015 as part of her final project at the Hanoi University of Industrial Fine Arts. She delved into the culture and jewelry types of Vietnamese ethnic groups, as well as Asian styles. Her research took her to Mai Châu and Sa Pa, where she studied the lifestyle and accessories of ethnic people. She also visited museums to learn more about the history and symbolism behind ethnic jewelries.

Creating Pristine Moon was not without its challenges. Kim Anh Vy had to overcome the influence of the Hmong culture on artists and designers worldwide to create a design that was truly unique. Countless sketches were discarded before the final design emerged, capturing the essence of Hmong culture while remaining wearable and contemporary.

Pristine Moon is a testament to Kim Anh Vy's vision of a woman who embraces her past, present, and future. The silver shine and round shape of the pendant and collar accentuate the curves of a woman's body and her vivid imagination. It is a celebration of beauty and a love letter to the world.
