Designer Karin Castens Unveils Interlinked Wedding Rings

The inspiration behind Two Forever came from the traditional wedding sets popular in the US. These sets usually include a large diamond engagement ring paired with a smaller wedding ring. However, the smaller ring often moves independently, causing discomfort to the wearer. Karin Castens' design addresses this issue by interlinking the two rings, ensuring they stay in place.

Creating Two Forever was a meticulous process involving countless hand sketches, 3D drawings, test prints, and prototypes. Despite the precision of 3D technology, manual adjustments at the jeweler's bench were necessary to perfect the design. The rings are available in three different sizes and are designed for various stone sizes. They are created in silver, gold, and rhodium-plated white gold.

The design process began in spring 2016 and the final product was presented to the public in November 2017. The design team, including 3D designer Anton Angheluta, caster Kalman Hafner, and the Castens workshop, worked tirelessly to create a wedding set that was not only aesthetically pleasing but also practical and comfortable.

Two Forever has been recognized for its innovative design and was awarded the Golden A' Jewelry, Eyewear, and Watch Design Award in 2018. This prestigious award is granted to outstanding creations that reflect the designer's prodigy and wisdom, embody extraordinary excellence, and significantly impact the world with their desirable characteristics.
