Creating a Unique Perception of Space

This exhibition design, named Xu.Reborn, showcases indoor building space through a series of building languages such as intervals, juxtaposition, masking, and extension from the opposite angle. These elements convey the artistic conception of returning to nature and restoring its simplest spatial essence through a systematic order. Xu.Reborn stands out from other exhibition designs with its emphasis on creating a connection between people and space, offering a unique and immersive experience.

The realization of Xu.Reborn involves the use of stone, coating, and metal materials, combining traditional and contemporary elements to create a harmonious and visually stunning environment. With a total area of 833 square meters, this exhibition design provides ample space for visitors to explore and engage with the exhibits.

The design team behind Xu.Reborn, led by Mingbin Yang, includes the collaboration of HONidea, who contributed their expertise and creativity to bring this design to life. The team's meticulous attention to detail and commitment to creating a space that respects nature and delivers spatial relations, atmosphere, aesthetics, and mood fusion is evident in the final result.

Form intervals in Xu.Reborn evolve from the sense of form to substantial functional demands, clearly demonstrating and distinguishing the functional units. The design challenges overcome during the project include the implementation of building languages such as intervals, juxtaposition, masking, and extension to convey the desired artistic conception.

The Xu.Reborn exhibition design project started in December 2015 and was completed in June 2016 in China. Throughout the duration of the project, extensive research was conducted to ensure the design's effectiveness in creating a unique and immersive experience for visitors.

Xu.Reborn has been recognized for its outstanding creativity and ingenuity, receiving the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2017. This prestigious award acknowledges designs that authenticate experience and resourcefulness, incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology.
