A Fantastic Restaurant with Grandiloquen

The restaurant, named Narnia, is a stunning example of interior design that combines grandiloquent style with contemporary aesthetics. Designed by Kuo-Pin Hsieh, this unique space draws inspiration from Gothic architecture, creating an atmosphere of tall and mystery. The use of elements such as buttress to ribbed vaults adds a touch of elegance and grandeur to the restaurant.

One of the standout features of Narnia is the frosted glass that replaces the traditional thick walls. The restaurant has multiple branches in different cities, and each branch is adjusted to the original infrastructure conditions, showcasing the designer's respect for the surrounding environments and architectures.

The interior of Narnia is adorned with stones, glass, and mosaic floor bricks, creating a crystal and lustrous atmosphere. The curtain lines chandelier adds a touch of luxury and complements the mosaic floor beautifully. Geometric patterns are incorporated into the design, creating a sense of fantasy and wonder. However, the true highlight of the restaurant is the Gothic ceiling, which showcases the designer's skill in creating an aesthetic experience for visitors.

Narnia is not just a visual delight; it also caters to the taste buds of its customers. The Narnia restaurant project was completed in April 2012 in Taichung City, Taiwan. The design was meticulously researched, drawing inspiration from Gothic architecture and the fantastical elements found in movies like "The Chronicles of Narnia." The challenges faced during the project, such as incorporating the Gothic ceiling and creating a cohesive design across multiple branches, were overcome with the designer's expertise and attention to detail.

Narnia's unique design and exceptional execution have been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2017. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and a commitment to improving the quality of life. Narnia stands as a testament to the power of design to create immersive and captivating spaces.
