The clinic's interior design is a reflection of the philosophy that the body is viewed as a complete life in traditional Chinese medicine. The reception area features a large forest image on the wall, reminiscent of traditional ink landscape paintings. This poetic scenery creates a calming and serene atmosphere, setting the tone for the entire space.
One of the main challenges in designing this clinic was the need for a large treatment area within limited space. Feng-Min Chou cleverly utilized mirrors and mirrors with penetration effects to create the illusion of a larger space. This innovative solution not only addresses the spatial constraints but also adds a touch of elegance to the interior.
The lighting fixtures on the ceiling and the European-style furniture further enhance the interior space, creating a seamless integration of western and Chinese medicine. The use of colors such as black, white, brown, and green symbolizes the simplicity and balance found in nature, evoking images of lush green mountains and vibrant seasons.
The Generation of Yin and Yang clinic also incorporates unique design elements to reinforce the concept of balance. Horse head adornments at the entrance balance the dynamic and static visual effects, while images of white and black fishes in the examination rooms represent the interplay between Yin and Yang. These design choices aim to create a space that promotes physical and mental equilibrium.
Completed in August 2016 in Taichung City, Taiwan, the Generation of Yin and Yang clinic is a testament to the fusion of art, architecture, and medicine. Feng-Min Chou's thoughtful design not only provides a functional and aesthetically pleasing environment but also embodies the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, promoting holistic well-being.
