The uniqueness of NewsMuseum lies in its innovative use of technology. The interior design of the building is a testament to this, with over 170 TV screens and 230 thousand lumens creating a colourful and hectic environment reminiscent of the media world. This high-tech approach is evident in features such as the lounge, a 67m2 interactive “tablet” with glass walls, and the Pyramid of Babel, a structure with over 60 TV screens broadcasting world news channels.
NewsMuseum is not just about creating aesthetically pleasing exhibitions. The design team, which includes Luís Paixão Martins, João Paixão, Rodrigo Moita de Deus, and Carolina Mendes Mascarenhas, has also focused on developing a welcoming and pleasant environment. This balance between aesthetics and comfort sets NewsMuseum apart from other design projects.
The project's innovative approach to design and its successful integration of technology and aesthetics have not gone unnoticed. In 2017, NewsMuseum was awarded Silver in the A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award. This prestigious accolade is given to designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation, and that evoke positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.

By drawing inspiration from the media world and using state-of-the-art technology, Carolina Mendes Mascarenhas and her team have created a space that not only educates and entertains but also pushes the boundaries of what is possible in design.
