The Luneng MGM Royal Villa, designed by Kot, Ge, is a residential project owned by the Luneng Group. Located in the central axis of the 3rd Ring Road in Beijing, the project follows the footsteps of the Forbidden City and aims to relive the feel hidden in the classic gardens during the Qianlong Period. The design embodies imperial grandeur and showcases etiquette, respect, and transcendence.
The unique properties of the Luneng MGM Royal Villa lie in its combination of classic and Chinese "appearance" with the concept of "image". By using different appearances, the design expresses people's thinking, philosophy, and emotions. The project showcases the designer's interpretation of the ancient Chinese poetry, where various images are transformed into an organic and tiered landscape, creating a unique experience for residents.
The design team, led by Kot, Ge, utilized the MAGAZZINI and BAKER technologies to bring the Luneng MGM Royal Villa to life. The villa spans an area of 660 square meters, providing ample space for residents to enjoy the luxurious and elegant surroundings.
Whether using the appearance to demonstrate the image or using the image to create artistic conception, the Luneng MGM Royal Villa aims to inherit past outstanding ideas and embody the characteristics of the times. The project was completed in October 2016 and is situated in Beijing, China.
The Luneng MGM Royal Villa was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2017 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award recognizes the outstanding and creatively ingenious design that authenticates experience and resourcefulness. The design showcases strong technical and creative skills, contributing to quality of life improvements and making the world a better place.
