Jianchangbang, a brand specializing in purchasing, processing, and selling traditional Chinese medicinal materials, draws its name from the general term for the local group from Jiangxi Nancheng, anciently called 'Jianchang.' As a symbol for traditional medicine branches, Jianchangbang embodies the thousand-year cultural essence and exquisites of traditional Chinese medicine.
The logo design for Jianchangbang faced the challenge of distinguishing it from other similar brands. Through constant research and analysis, Dongdao Creative Branding Group concluded that seal carving, a typical symbol of traditional Chinese culture and a proof of goods exchange in ancient business activities, would be the perfect expression for the brand. The unique composition mode and profound cultural connotation of seal carving highly coincided with the characteristics of Jianchangbang.
By incorporating the composition of Chinese characters, the logo not only impresses people with its simplicity, stability, and high quality but also makes it easy to identify. The logo reflects the brand's commitment to traditional Chinese medicine and its cultural heritage.
The project, led by Dongdao Creative Branding Group, started in March 2016 and was completed in May 2016 in Beijing. The team's extensive research into traditional Chinese medicine and seal carving allowed them to create a logo that perfectly represents the essence of Jianchangbang.
This outstanding logo and VI design for Jianchangbang was recognized with the Iron A' Design Award in 2017. The award acknowledges well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The logo's integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics contributes to a better world.
