Tamás Túri's Award-Winning Electric Tricycle Redefines Mobility for the Disabled

Cero stands out from other tricycles with its unique design that takes into account specific medical conditions. Its low center of gravity and sturdy backrest make it an ideal mode of transportation for people with various medical conditions and those in recovery. The tricycle offers three modes, allowing users to choose the level of electric assist they want, thereby personalizing their riding experience.

The tricycle is crafted from bent stainless steel tubes, which not only minimize the visual weight but also provide the necessary flexibility without the need for shock absorbers. The 250W motor propels the rider to a maximum speed of 25km/h over a distance of approximately 60km. The technical specifications of Cero have been meticulously designed to ensure maximum comfort and ease of use, with adjustable seat height, backrest height and angle, and crankset position.

One of the key challenges in designing Cero was to create an elegant shape that fulfills all the special needs and is cost-effective. The choice of the electric motor was also a critical decision. After extensive research and consideration of various options, Tamás Túri was able to find the most suitable motor for this tricycle that is powerful enough and can cover a large distance.
