As the main subject for the contemporary Chinese lifestyle, Ji Space is a unique hotel design that presents the Confucianism, Five Virtues: Gentle, Kind, Respectful, Simple and Courtly. This concept is not just about aesthetics, but it also represents the spiritual desire and reflection of the modern Chinese society.
Like a traditional Chinese garden, Ji Space is designed with many blank spaces and frames, creating layers that help you leave the noise outside and return to your inner peace. Whether it's art, tea ceremony, meditation, or floral art, every activity inside Ji Space represents life and the quest for inner peace.
From the window, you can feel the passing of time with the natural light, enjoy a cup of tea with friends, or appreciate the paintings in the gallery. Ji Space is more than just a space; it's a square of the world where you can experience and define your own lifestyle, reflecting the brand's spirit of new Chinese lifestyle.
The design was realized using materials such as marble, tawny glass, oak, bamboo finishes, and stainless steel. The project started in April 2016 and was completed in November 2016 in Shanghai, China. The underlying research for this design was based on Chinese contemporary culture and lifestyle.
Ji Space was awarded Silver in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2017. This prestigious award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation. These designs, admired for their strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill, showcase a remarkable level of excellence and introduce positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
