EQUITORUS stands out from other equestrian centers with its distinct design and unique features. The complex consists of separate buildings, scattered across the site in a picturesque manner reminiscent of Russian manor layouts. The irregular arrangement of pitched roofs of varying heights and lengths blends harmoniously with the surrounding forest, creating a visually stunning landscape. The wooden facades further emphasize the connection between the new construction and the natural environment. Carefully crafted details, smooth curves, and a thoughtful color palette pay homage to the national architectural style without directly replicating forms and patterns of the past.
The realization of the design concept is a testament to the designer's ingenuity. The use of two-colored roofing and facade, along with geometric decor, creates an emotionally saturated image for this utilitarian object. The large glass planes serve as contrasting elements, highlighting the arches and facades while seamlessly connecting the interior and exterior spaces. The facades of the complex are adorned with wooden planks of varying widths, creating a unique decorative pattern that is painted in different shades.
Spanning a total land area of 2.54 hectares, EQUITORUS is divided into different zones. The equestrian center itself covers 1.35 hectares, providing ample space for training and horse-related activities. Hospitality and entertainment venues occupy 0.37 hectares, ensuring that horse owners and visitors have a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The remaining 0.82 hectares are dedicated to a recreation area, allowing for relaxation and leisure. The complex also includes parking lots, green spaces, and a water surface area, all meticulously planned to enhance the overall experience.
EQUITORUS serves as a hub for various equestrian activities and has a significant socio-occupational impact. It promotes and develops equestrian sports and horse breeding, introducing children to a healthy lifestyle. The complex also supports equestrian sports as a promising area of charity and offers master classes by leading domestic and foreign competitors. Additionally, it houses a Junior School with an affordable training policy and hosts competitions, including Olympic disciplines.
Located in the Pushkin district of the Moscow region in the Russian Federation, EQUITORUS is a testament to the designer's meticulous research and attention to detail. The project was driven by the goal of creating a unique complex that meets the highest standards for horse care and preparation for competitions. It also provides the necessary infrastructure for horse owners to live and relax while not training or competing. Furthermore, the complex offers hippotherapy sessions for the social, psychological, and physical rehabilitation of disabled individuals.
EQUITORUS overcame numerous challenges during its creation. The abundance of forests in the Pushkin district presented an opportunity to create an environmentally friendly complex that seamlessly integrates with the natural surroundings. The integrated approach to urban development, inspired by the area's natural environment and unique history, ensured that EQUITORUS became a harmonious addition to the landscape.
EQUITORUS, with its large indoor arena made of glued wooden structures, stands as a contrast to the natural environment. It is as if someone had spread a colorful homespun mat on the ground, creating a visually striking and vibrant space. The design not only meets functional requirements but also provides a visually captivating experience for visitors.
EQUITORUS has received recognition for its outstanding design. In 2017, it was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building, and Structure Design category. This prestigious award honors designs that exhibit technical and creative excellence, contributing to improvements in quality of life and making the world a better place.
