Integrating Social Spaces with Vibrant Colors

The main inspiration behind the Colorfull Home project is Juliana Pippi herself. The design reflects her personal lifestyle and choices, making it a truly authentic representation of her vision. From the selection of furniture inspired by works of art to the careful choice of colors and textures, every aspect of this project has been meticulously curated.

One of the standout features of this design is the use of over 40 different colors throughout the space. From floors and walls to doors and furniture, each element has been thoughtfully chosen to create a vibrant and dynamic environment. This attention to detail extends to the selection of furniture, which reflects the personalities of the couple who reside in the apartment.

The realization of the Colorfull Home project involved careful planning and execution. The existing floor plan was completely reimagined, with only the walls of the rooms being preserved. This allowed for the creation of a spacious and interconnected social area within the 200m2 apartment. Structural pillars, which couldn't be demolished, dictated the layout of the living room, ensuring a harmonious flow between different spaces.

The integration between all social environments is a key aspect of this design. It allows the couple to entertain guests or perform day-to-day tasks together seamlessly. The gourmet kitchen area, for example, is connected to the dining room and living room, enabling one person to cook while others watch television or work at the dining table. This emphasis on functionality and flexibility enhances the overall living experience.

Throughout the Colorfull Home project, Juliana Pippi faced various challenges. One of the main obstacles was working around a support pillar that couldn't be removed. However, this challenge was overcome by incorporating the pillar into the design, hiding it behind a television panel that also serves as a partition for the music room.

The Colorfull Home project was completed in early 2011 in Florianopolis. The implementation of the design took place over the course of several months, ending in April 2013. The result is a vibrant and contemporary living space that embodies the essence of modern lifestyle.

Juliana Pippi's Colorfull Home project has received recognition and acclaim, including the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in 2018.
