The Serfa Plus project began in September 2016 in Rio de Janeiro and was completed in April 2017 in Gramado. It was exhibited at the Casapronta Furniture Store in May 2017, showcasing its unique design and craftsmanship.

Zanini de Zanine, the designer behind the Serfa Plus set, conducted extensive research on the construction and design methods employed by Sergio Rodrigues and Ricardo Fasanello. The aim was to stay true to the techniques used by these masters of Brazilian design, resulting in a faithful representation of their work.

During the manufacturing and assembly process, one of the main challenges was determining the correct angle for the slope of the headrest. Any miscalculation could compromise the ergonomics of the product. However, with careful attention to detail, the team overcame this challenge and successfully created a comfortable and visually striking armchair and footstool set.

The Serfa Plus armchair and footstool set has received recognition for its outstanding design. In 2018, it was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category.
