Bo Lee's Huahong Office II: A New Perspective on Office Design

Winner of the Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2018

Bo Lee's Huahong Office II, located in the world's highest office building, presents a unique approach to office design. This award-winning design transforms the workspace into an engaging, creative environment, offering a 360-degree view of the surrounding landscape.

Bo Lee's inspiration for the Huahong Office II stems from the desire to create a workspace that is not just functional, but also pleasurable and inspiring. The design aims to incorporate the stunning views of the surrounding landscape into the office space, creating a harmonious blend of indoor and outdoor elements. The result is a workspace that is not only efficient but also aesthetically pleasing and inspiring.

The unique properties of the Huahong Office II lie in its location on the 102nd floor of the PingAn International Financial Center. The design takes full advantage of the breathtaking views, incorporating them into the office layout. The space is designed to create a meaningful combination of space, view, and light, presenting a new transformation of space.

The realization of this design was achieved through the use of wood veneer and mirror materials. The wood veneer, fully wrapped in bright twists and turns, creates a natural landscape corridor that extends the line of sight. The mirror materials used on the columns and furniture further enhance the sense of space and light, drawing the outdoors into the depth of the office space.

The Huahong Office II spans approximately 1500 square meters. The design team, which included Ping Xu and Junmin He, worked on the project from June to September 2017 in Shenzhen. The design process involved extensive research to interpret and shape the spirit of the office space from a new perspective. The team faced the challenge of integrating the landscape into the functional indoor space while avoiding visual impairment from the building's mega structure.

In conclusion, Bo Lee's Huahong Office II is a testament to innovative office design. It redefines the concept of a workspace, transforming it into a place where work is not a pressure, but a pleasurable, friendly, and creative experience. This design, which was awarded the Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2018, sets a new standard for office design, one that embraces the beauty of the surrounding landscape and the value of a well-designed workspace.
