The Minimbike's standout feature is its continuous and compact chassis made from a single piece of plastic material. This not only serves as an aesthetic solution but also provides structural value. The forks and the mechanical drum, which are key elements of the design, not only ensure stability but also contribute to the Minimbike's striking appearance, transforming it into an object of desire with a high sculptural value.

Minimbike is designed entirely from its pedals to its height control regulators. The main body is manufactured by cold molding, in a single piece of plastic in which the other elements are assembled. This production system facilitates the bike’s production, ensuring high-quality finishes with fewer resources. This technological innovation, protected by a utility patent, is one of the product's major strengths.

The handlebar, made of integral polyurethane, has a very soft and pleasant touch. Its design allows several positions of use. The saddle is upholstered in a single piece of plastic leather, reflecting the intention of minimizing to achieve a compact product. The Minimbike measures 1150 mm x 470 mm x 1270 mm and weighs 50 kg.

Minimbike's main innovation lies in its user interaction. Users have full control of the bike through an application installed on their smartphone or personal tablet. This allows users to design their training taking into account their objectives. The RPM, calories, distance, and pedal resistance are controlled, creating a solid and healthy community for all Minimfit friends and lovers.

The design project started in September 2016 in Barcelona, Spain, and was completed in January 2018. The designers took a step further by proposing a new radical language for the product, externalizing the parameterization by transferring its control to digital personal devices such as common smartphones and tablets. This approach prevents the product from becoming obsolete as updating it is less complex.

The challenge was to design and manufacture a static bicycle that not only satisfies the current technological needs of the sector but also has an aesthetic proposal that allows the product to share the user’s usual space. The result is a sculptural language that invites you to place it in domestic spaces where it acquires great prominence and relevance. The Minimbike was awarded the Golden A' Sporting Goods, Fitness and Recreation Equipment Design Award in 2018 for its outstanding and trendsetting design.
