Mohamad Montazeri's DrumString is a revolutionary product in the realm of music. The DrumString is realized through a meticulous process. Two deep-drawn steel are hardened by a process known as gas nitridization. The instrument features 2 nylon and 4 steel strings. It measures 50 cm in diameter and has a height of 6 cm, weighing just 2.4 kilograms.

The design process of DrumString started in January 2016 in Tabriz and was completed in March 2018 in Tehran. The project involved extensive research on the combination of string and percussion instruments, creating a new unique sound, and developing a new playing method. The result is a minimal, modern, and pure form that facilitates easy movement and usage.

Despite the challenges encountered during the design process, Montazeri succeeded in creating an instrument that is beautiful, pure, and modern. It boasts a new ergonomic form, ease of transport, new behavior and interaction, and a new way to play, establishing a sensual connection with the user.
