The FlyPony store is a physical manifestation of the brand's five DNA elements: protection, magic, French style, encouragement, and education. It's a place where both children and adults can enjoy a unique shopping experience. The design team at PRISM DESIGN, led by Tomohiro Katsuki and Masanori Kobayashi, has transformed a simple retail space into a vibrant, interactive world of color and magic.
The store's design is centered around the story of Tim, a boy from a small town living in the bustling city of Shanghai. Every night, Tim dreams of a magical world full of adventure and wonder. The shoes he wears in these dreams are imbued with magic and stories, and in one dream, he embarks on a quest to find a flying pony. This narrative is brought to life in the store through the use of eight colors that represent Tim's dream world.
One of the unique features of the store is the use of magnetic dots for shoe display. These dots, available in eight different colors, can be arranged freely, creating a sense of magic and flexibility. The white areas of the store double as writing boards, providing a space for children to express their creativity through drawing during POP activities.
The store's design also cleverly incorporates functional elements. The green dots can be used to install hangers for displaying clothes, while shelves can be placed on top of the hangers to display shoes. This blend of function and fantasy is a testament to the innovative thinking of the PRISM DESIGN team.
The FlyPony store is located in the Infinite Plaza Shopping Center in Shanghai, China. It's a testament to the power of design in creating unique and engaging retail experiences. The store's success is a testament to the power of design in creating unique and engaging retail experiences. As the Silver A' Design Award attests, the FlyPony store is a top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable design that illustrates outstanding expertise and innovation.
