Central Star: A Timeless Design Marvel by Flora Lau Designers Ltd.

Exhibition Space Marrying Artistic Temperament and Meticulous Craftsmanship

Central Star is not just a building; it's a promise of life. The design is a reflection of the city of Shenzhen's forward-thinking and stylish texture. It's a space that offers quiet and stress-free visual enjoyment, highlighting the gorgeous beauty and injecting artistic temperament into life. The design team, led by Flora Lau, KK Leung, Vincci Ma, and Iris Ngai, has managed to create a space that is both unconventional and elegant.

The design's unique properties lie in its inspiration - the "Time Box." Time, often fleeting and unnoticed, is frozen within this architectural "treasure box." The design is a reminder of how precious time is, and how it should be cherished. The team used marble, stainless steel, crystal, and glass as the main materials, creating a space that is as luxurious as it is timeless.

The Central Star Experience Center, spanning 850sqm, is a scarce high-end residence that perfectly combines natural and urban life. The design team faced the challenge of designing a 9.4-meter tall entry hall, an extremely tall and box space. They overcame this by making full use of natural light elements, geometric element dismantling, and showcasing the nature of the materials, shaping the space into an experience space with a rich sense of rhyme and rhythm.

The design process involved converting the project's core strengths into an emotional design language. This allowed audiences to perceive the design in a more natural and graceful way. The design was realized in Shenzhen, China, in the spring of 2017, and has since been recognized for its outstanding expertise and innovation, earning it the Silver A' Design Award.

Central Star is more than just a design; it's a testament to the power of time and the beauty of art and architecture. As Tagore once said, "Nothing can resist the time devouring everything." Central Star is a reminder of this, a design that encapsulates time within its walls, serving as a constant reminder of its preciousness.
