Amarist Studio's Console Table: A Treasure Trove of Craftsmanship and Design

The name 'Thesaurus', which means treasure in Latin, is a fitting title for a design that encapsulates the treasures trapped by the passage of time. The console table is a physical representation of these treasures, with Swarovski crystals embedded in a centenary tree trunk, symbolizing the emotions and memories that are often hidden away.

What sets the Thesaurus console table apart is its exquisite symbiosis between nature and jewelry. The table is a one-of-a-kind piece, with 14,000 Swarovski crystals carefully embedded by hand into the natural fissures of a warm, centenary olive tree trunk. The base of the table is made of black marble, symbolizing the layers of the earth, and the surface of the glass plate is shaped like an olive leaf.

The creation of the Thesaurus console table is a labor-intensive process that spans several months. Each of the 14,000 crystals, from the Elements series, is carefully embedded by hand into the natural fissures of the 100-year-old olive trunk. The table's dimensions are 88 cm in height, 60 cm in width, and 220 cm in length, and it weighs 160 kg. The materials used include Swarovski Elements, Spanish Olive tree wood, Marquina black marble, and tempered glass.

The Thesaurus console table was presented at the Design Days Dubai Fair and has been featured in various magazines, including Top Russ, HOT India, Inspired Living UAE, ID Prestige Morocco, Art Privé Russia, and Fuera de Serie - Luxury Special in Spain. The main challenge in creating the table was embedding the 14,000 Swarovski crystals of different sizes into the natural fissures of the tree trunk, a process that was done one by one by hand.

The Thesaurus console table is a testament to the creativity and craftsmanship of Amarist Studio, formed by designers Arán Lozano and Clara Campo. The design was awarded Silver in A' Luxury Design Award in 2018, a testament to its outstanding expertise and innovation.
