Revolutionizing Spa Experience: The Riolax Curie

The Riolax Curie, a product of innovative thinking and meticulous design, is a spa that stands out in its field. Inspired by different product areas, the design team worked outside the traditional spa field to bring in innovations and new solutions. The result is a spa that is more than just a product; it's a piece of design that commands attention without being visually aggressive. Its clean and minimal lines make the Curie style versatile and adaptable to any environment.

The uniqueness of the Curie design lies in its innovative, clean, and iconic nature. The design is a result of seeking inspirations from various areas and products, ensuring innovation in materials and processes. The Curie design brings the balance between form and function to its essence. As the largest Acrylic Shell Spa in Brazil, with dimensions of 2700 x 2500mm, it promises to please and surprise even the most demanding customer.

The realization of the Curie design was a two-part process. The first part was entirely digital, involving sketches, renders, and 3D modeling to reach an accurate final design. The second part involved the creation of a 1:1 mold, supported by the 3D file, which was hand-made to be used in the vacuum forming machine for the acrylic. The Acrylic Shell provides a smooth and single piece. The side panels in ACM material introduce a new lightweight, resistant, and versatile material in this field.

The Curie spa can comfortably fit eight people seated or five people seated and one on the opposite side, laid. Its large size provides ample legroom for users. It also features a built-in minibar for users to enjoy a drink. All features such as jet speed, temperature, waterfall, inside LED colors, and heater can be easily controlled by a phone app or by the control panel on the border of the spa.

The design project started in September 2017 and was completed in March 2018 in Cedral, Sao Paulo state inland. It was launched in March at EXPO REVESTIR 2018 in Sao Paulo city. The project was directed to production, and all the research was done with that in mind. Materials and processes used were feasible, already on the market, premium, but at the same time, they had to fit in a budget.

Curie is the largest Acrylic Shell Spa in Brazil and aims to bring a totally new experience to the user. Its design is a result of the quest for inspirations in several areas and products, which guaranteed creative materials and processes. The 'Curie' name also reflects the grandeur of the product, referring to one of the greatest icons of history, Marie Curie, associated always with pioneering, innovation, and technology. This design was awarded Silver in A' Luxury Design Award in 2019.
