The House With Stillness project, designed by Rachelle Chen, stands out with its demonstration of interior visual balance. The main feature of this design is the juxtaposition of bright light and the arrangement of dark materials, creating a spatial metaphor that showcases graceful interior scenes with clean and brisk senses.

The main door and the design style of the entry area are made of dark materials, contrasting with the bright feeling of the living room. This deliberate contrast highlights the visual balance within the space. The floor, predominantly made of white lumber, provides a moderate contrast to the other furniture pieces, enhancing the overall aesthetic.

The public area of the house does not have exact separations. Instead, the sub-areas are defined by the arrangement of furniture and smooth traffic flow. The living and dining rooms are seamlessly connected, allowing the family to enjoy their leisure and dining time in between. The wooden material applied to the main TV wall and cabinets further enhances the interior visual sight.

The kitchen island acts as a bridge between the cooking area and the dining area. With a background of white cabinets, it enhances the bright atmosphere and creates a clean spatial visual effect. The simple traffic flow adds to the overall functionality of the space.

The House With Stillness project spans 165.5 square meters and was completed in March 2018 in Taipei City, Taiwan. It is a testament to the designer's ability to harmonize the relationships between human sensations and nature, creating a space that gratifies the clients' preferences while embodying multiple values of design.

This design was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2019 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. The award recognizes well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The House With Stillness project is respected for integrating industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, providing fulfillment and positive feelings, and contributing to a better world.
