Choosy: A Vibrant and Classy Restaurant Design

Bringing Energetic Vibes to Kaohsiung City

Inspired by the lively America style, Choosy's exterior immediately catches the eye. The entrance is adorned with two black columns decorated with yellow triangular ironworks, creating an alluring first impression. Wooden veneers, plants, and a dressy shop sign further enhance the vibrant aesthetic, setting the stage for what awaits inside.

Stepping into Choosy, the energetic and vivid aura continues to captivate. The highlight of the restaurant is the wall painted by Dutch artists, showcasing scenes and cultures observed in Kaohsiung City. This artistic masterpiece adds a unique touch to the space, creating a dynamic and engaging atmosphere.

One of the design's strengths lies in its ability to optimize the available space. Despite the challenges posed by the original architectural structure, Ciao-Ling Yang strategically established an elevated dining area in the rear, ensuring the best traffic flow. Additionally, metal racks placed between the front and rear spaces not only broaden the visual scope but also allow ample sunlight to penetrate the shop, creating a warm and inviting ambiance.

The design of Choosy goes beyond aesthetics; it focuses on the connections between human inclinations and nature, satisfying the clients' preferences based on the multiple values of design. By harmonizing the relationships between human sensations and nature, the design creates a perfect balance that enhances the overall dining experience.

Completed in October 2015 in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, Choosy is a testament to the designer's meticulous research and attention to detail.
