Fleur Pavilia: A Harmonious Blend of Art, Nature, and Technology

Experience the Serenity of Fleur Island through New World Development's Award-Winning Mood Video

Inspired by the resilience of The Three Friends of Winter - pine, bamboo, and plum blossom, New World Development Company Limited has created a captivating mood video for its latest residential development project, Fleur Pavilia, in Hong Kong. The video, a Silver A' Design Award winner, offers viewers an immersive experience of the tranquility and beauty of Fleur Island, the project's key landscape feature.

The mood video, which is played at the first mood zone of the sales gallery, is designed to capture viewers' attention and spark their interest in Fleur Pavilia. It features the aesthetics and weightlessness of the pine, bamboo, and plum blossom, set off with white hydrangeas, to convey what Fleur Pavilia represents - an oasis away from the city's hustle and bustle. Renowned florist Sarah Winward was invited to do the flower arrangement, and a local production team in Stockholm was appointed for the video shooting.

The video's unique properties lie in its ability to depict petals and water drops rising and dispersing slowly and gently in different directions, creating a feeling of reversing time. This cinematography suggests timelessness and highlights the ethereal nature of these flora as they tumble in a gentle breeze. These seamless shots are accompanied by a calm and contemplative piano melody, further enhancing the immersive experience.

The design team faced the challenge of developing the marketing communication visual and message around flowers. After conducting research and site visits at Kai Yuen, where Fleur Pavilia is located, the team discovered that the area is steeped in cultural heritage and was once home to many renowned literati. These literati, including novelist Eileen Chang, essayist and political commentator Sima Changfeng, and Peking opera actress Meng Xiaodong, possessed the quality of resilience, perseverance, and grit, which are exactly what The Three Friends of Winter represent in Chinese culture.

The project, which started in 2016 in Stockholm, was inspired by the shape of the project site, which looked like three flower petals. This sparked the design team's imagination for the design and story of the whole project. The result is a mood video that not only showcases the beauty of Fleur Pavilia but also embodies the cultural heritage of Kai Yuen.

In conclusion, New World Development Company Limited's mood video for Fleur Pavilia is a testament to the power of art, nature, and technology in creating an immersive experience. It is a harmonious blend of aesthetics, culture, and innovation that offers viewers a glimpse into the serene and beautiful world of Fleur Island.
