Source of Life: A Harmonious Blend of Art and Nature

Exploring Huang Quan's Award-Winning Interior Design Project

Immerse yourself in the world of Huang Quan's 'Source of Life,' an interior design masterpiece that marries nature and art in a surreal dreamscape. This article delves into the inspiration, unique properties, and realization technology behind this award-winning design.

Huang Quan, a prominent figure in the world of interior design, has always found inspiration in the raw beauty of nature. It is this natural treasure, unpretentious and unconsciously beautiful, that Quan has successfully transposed into his latest project, 'Source of Life.' The designer aimed to create a space where nature and life could coexist organically, allowing nature's true beauty to shine through.

What sets 'Source of Life' apart from other designs is its colossal artistic installation, 'Life.' This piece, almost ten meters high, creates a sense of verticality and leaves ample room for imagination. Its graceful natural texture, reminiscent of leaf veins and barks, is a testament to Quan's artistic expression and graphic structure skills. The use of stainless steel and stone on the background, coupled with added carvings, further enhances the installation's richness.

Located in Chengdu, China, 'Source of Life' is a testament to a series of design skills, including symbolization, artisanship, culturalization, emotion, and visual extension. The space, spanning 730m², is a showcase of Quan's ability to create an environment that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional.

The meeting area, adorned in champagne gold, exudes rationality. Three hundred bottles of wine set the standard for orderliness and detail, while high-saturation bright colors, abstract sculptures, and notional culture pictures bring an artistic fantasy feeling. Soft lights blur the borders, merging all elements into a cohesive whole. The beige wood veneer surrounding the white stone caracole and the different shades of blue blocks strewn on the artwork form the texture of the sea, spreading out artistic quality.

The colossal artistic installation 'Life' was the most time-consuming part of the project, requiring significant time and energy in design, setting, and finishes. However, the result is impressive and well worth the effort. The project, completed in May 2018, is a testament to Quan's dedication and commitment to his craft.

In recognition of its outstanding design and innovation, 'Source of Life' was awarded Silver in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2019. This prestigious award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation. 'Source of Life' is indeed a design that introduces positive feelings, amazement, and wonder, showcasing a remarkable level of excellence.
