Delixious and Charm Grill: The Perfect Meat Grilling Experience

Revolutionizing the Way We Grill

The inspiration for this design came from the traditional Korean and Asian food culture of gathering together to grill pork belly or beef. Nothing Design Group recognized the challenges faced by grillers and set out to create a product that would enhance the grilling experience.

One of the standout features of Delixious and Charm Grill is its 2-level height design. This design concept prevents meat from burning and overcooking. The lower level, closer to the heat source, is used for initial cooking, while the upper level keeps the cooked meat warm without letting it get cold. Additionally, the round indentations on the second level allow for cooking other foods, such as onions and eggs, without mixing them with the meat.

Delixious and Charm Grill is made from highly heat-resistant ceramics that can withstand temperatures of up to 700 degrees Celsius. It is the first product in the world capable of converting microwaves into biophotons (PDP), enhancing the flavor of the meat. The manufacturing process involves double-baked ceramics produced using state-of-the-art calculation tunnel kiln at 1,350 degrees Celsius.

With dimensions of 293mm (length) x 383mm (width) x 35mm (height) for the ceramic grill and 373mm (length) x 460mm (width) x 70mm (height) for the electric burner, Delixious and Charm Grill is compact and easy to use on gas stoves, electric stoves (induction), and more. The borders of the product have weak heat delivery, ensuring safety and preventing burns.

During the design process, the Nothing Design Group faced various challenges associated with manufacturing ceramic products. Unlike standard plastic or metal materials, ceramics have unique characteristics that require careful consideration. However, the team overcame these challenges and successfully created a product that combines functionality, aesthetics, and durability.

Delixious and Charm Grill was developed in Gwangju, South Korea, starting in April 2017 and completed in December 2017. The project was part of the Industrial Technology Innovation Program supervised by the South Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy. It aimed to develop a 500-degree Celsius grade ceramic grill with temperature control to replace charcoal and direct roasters.

This innovative design has received recognition in the industry, winning the Iron A' Design Award in 2019. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. Delixious and Charm Grill stands out for its integration of industry best practices, competent technical characteristics, and contribution to a better world.
