Opulence: A Blend of Classic and Modern Luxury

Reham Ezzeldin's Award-Winning Stair Vestibule Design

The inspiration for Opulence came from the classic era, influenced by modern times. Ezzeldin's main goal was to create a luxurious yet simple look. The design language of repetition, rotation, and transparency of geometric shapes was used to create a positive energy for the space. This artistic luxury statement was achieved through the use of various materials such as marble, gold brass, niches crystals, different paint colors, and window glass.

The stair vestibule interior was designed in an eclectic style that combines contrast, anchor, proportion, and colors. The stairs symbolize an artistic feature of the interior, featuring marble patterns, unique furniture pieces, a brass handrail, crystals, and wall paneau to achieve a royal look. The space, measuring 12 m X 6 m, was a challenging canvas for Ezzeldin, who skillfully mingled all these materials to produce an artistic impression.

The design process involved several sketches inspired by the selected style, followed by several 3D trials on a 3D max program and trying different materials to achieve the desired look. The space acts as the main distribution between all home zones horizontally and vertically, serving as the preliminary zone before entering the main integrative area.

The project design phase started in October 2018 and finished in November 2018. The design process was the hardest challenge, merging and mingling different materials and patterns to match with each other and achieve a royal look. The design research involved different interior styles, client style requirements and needs, design ideas from the internet and books, sketches for furniture layout, client approval, sketches for interior walls, 3D modeling on a 3D max program, 3D editing to enhance proportions, material selection and trials, and final rendering.

In conclusion, Reham Ezzeldin's Opulence is a testament to her design prowess and attention to detail. The project showcases her ability to blend different styles and materials to create a luxurious and chic space. The design, which won the Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2019, is a perfect example of her unique design philosophy and talent.
