Humble Harmony Origin: A Unique Educational Campus

Creating a Distinctive Space for Learning and Community

The design of the Humble Harmony Origin began with careful site selection, taking into consideration urban planning and environmental assessment factors. The result is a master plan that encompasses the entire educational campus, including the buildings and internal spaces. This holistic approach ensures a seamless integration of the educational and commercial aspects of the project.

One of the standout features of the Humble Harmony Origin is the use of Oriental lattices inside the white building complexes. These lattices create a white and lively space within the concrete jungle, evoking a sense of tranquility and elegance. The rooftop space is also utilized for sporting venues such as a swimming pool and archery range, providing students with opportunities for physical activity and recreation.

Outside the buildings, bamboo and trees are strategically planted to create a simple yet elegant green belt. This green space not only enhances the aesthetics of the campus but also contributes to a healthier and more sustainable environment. The integration of nature into the design creates a unique and refreshing part of the urban landscape.

The Humble Harmony Origin spans an impressive 4272 square meters, offering ample space for various educational activities. The design incorporates indentations and elevated spaces, creating a multitude of galleries that connect every area of the campus. These galleries, with their expanded widths of four meters, serve as classrooms in their own right, fostering a flexible and collaborative learning environment.

One of the main challenges of the design was to create a clear distinction between the school spaces and the commercial model while maintaining a cohesive spatial planning. Drawing inspiration from the spirit of Confucian scholars, the design organizes the school and commercial/office areas along the "Tai Chi" model. This approach ensures a harmonious balance between the two functions, allowing for seamless transitions and interactions.

The Humble Harmony Origin has received recognition for its innovative design. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Landscape Planning and Garden Design in 2019. This prestigious accolade is given to designs that demonstrate excellence in practicality, innovation, and meeting professional and industrial requirements.
