Cura Investment Office: A Fusion of Tradition and Modernity

Integrating Chinese Architecture and Financial Stability

The Cura Investment Office, designed by Leo Zhu, seamlessly blends traditional Chinese elements with modern design principles to create a space that reflects the financial stability and cultural heritage of the Zhong Cheng Group.

The inspiration for the design of the Cura Investment Office draws on the concept of view borrowing in Chinese architecture. The lobby, the centerpiece of the office, facilitates better interaction between the conference room and the reception area. Symbolizing fullness and abundance, the circular shape of the lobby represents wealth and prosperity. The use of Italian fish-belly white marble further enhances the fusion of Chinese art and the concept of wealth. Master Guanzhong Wu's oil painting, which combines Eastern and Western influences, adds a touch of lasting appeal and charm.

What sets the Cura Investment Office apart is its unique approach to design. As a renowned real estate company specializing in financial investment, the Zhong Cheng Group required a design that reflects its sound and stable image. The designer, Leo Zhu, sought to find a balance between spatial massing and a spatial rhythm, creating a convincing lexicon of design that aligns with the company's mission and prerequisites.

The realization of the design incorporates a combination of traditional and modern techniques. The conference room, designed to meet the needs of receiving guests, features elements inspired by Chinese antiquity and modern materials. The result is a space that is unadorned yet sophisticated, capturing the essence of the CURA Investment Office.

The design of the Cura Investment Office also cleverly incorporates the company's logo, which is in the shape of a key in a traditional Chinese pattern. This element is integrated into the space through screens, wall partitions, ceilings, and light fixtures, creating a sense of belonging and uniqueness for clients and visitors.

Located in Shanghai, China, the Cura Investment Office is a testament to the fusion of tradition and modernity. By combining elements of Chinese culture with contemporary design principles, Leo Zhu has created a space that not only meets the functional needs of a financial institution but also showcases the rich cultural heritage of the Zhong Cheng Group.

The Cura Investment Office has received recognition for its outstanding design. In 2019, it was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award recognizes designs that exhibit strong technical and creative skills, contributing to improvements in quality of life and making the world a better place.
