A Mix-Use Shopping Mall Designed by PH Alpha Design

The concept behind Longfor Nanjing Paradise Walk is inspired by the idea of "Dancing Nanjing." This inspiration is beautifully reflected in the facade and massing of the building, which features a streamlined design that flows from the podium to the tower. The facade, made of glass and aluminum board, showcases a flying sink ribbon pattern that echoes the Yangtze River, a symbol of Nanjing's rich history.

What sets Longfor Nanjing Paradise Walk apart is its strategic location and unique design elements. The mall is situated in close proximity to the northern civil green land, creating a pedestrian axis that attracts people from surrounding blocks to the retail area. The L-shaped mall design also ensures a close connection with customers coming from the urban area.

The realization of this design involved the use of advanced technologies and materials. The facade is primarily composed of a glass curtain wall system and aluminum facade system. The glass curtain wall system includes various components such as the main entrance glass curtain wall system, ground floor glass curtain wall system, non-ground floor glass curtain wall system, and interlayer glaze glass curtain wall system. The aluminum boards used in the design feature different patterns and textures, adding visual interest to the facade.

Longfor Nanjing Paradise Walk spans an impressive 351,600 square meters, providing ample space for retail, residential, and recreational activities. The design team, led by Dr. Ping Xu, Architectural Design Director, and Mr. Clive Chow, Project Director, ensured that every aspect of the project was meticulously planned and executed.

This exceptional design has not gone unnoticed. Longfor Nanjing Paradise Walk was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building, and Structure Design category in 2019.
