Beauty of Integration: A Stunning Office Design by Yu-Chieh Lin

A Fusion of Cultures and Aesthetics

The inspiration for this project stems from the Japanese simple and industrial trends, aligning perfectly with the company's purpose of symbiosis between beauty and life. The three-story spatial planning and style incorporate simple materials and elevated spaces, resulting in a venue that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. The meticulous spatial layout ensures optimal use of the user space.

What sets "Beauty of Integration" apart is its ability to blend diverse cultural influences into the regional landscape. The external facade showcases Taiwan's unique floral tiles, Japanese wooden grids, and iron window grill aesthetics. This fusion of design elements creates a visually striking exterior that pays homage to Tainan's rich historical heritage.

The realization of this design involved a combination of materials and techniques. The entrance gate features a symbolic "W" shape, representing victory and openness. Solid wood, glass, and thin stone panels are seamlessly integrated, showcasing the principle of "mixed materials" and breaking boundaries in design. The elevated office space on the sixth floor not only provides excellent airflow and lighting but also sparks imagination and creativity.

With a total area of 263 square meters, the "Beauty of Integration" office space emphasizes not only design aesthetics but also environmental sustainability. The use of systematic cabinets with green constructional materials reduces formaldehyde pollution, ensuring a healthy and eco-friendly working environment.

The office layout promotes collaboration and teamwork. The skywalk on the second floor features tables, chairs, and an open bookshelf, providing a space for employees to work or take a break while overlooking the ground floor office area. The design symbolizes a lack of hierarchical classification, fostering a sense of equality and unity among team members. The third floor, designed as a B&B concept, can be used for private purposes or to entertain guests.

Overcoming various creative and technical challenges, the "Beauty of Integration" design showcases innovative solutions. Recycled wood-chip material was used to create an eco-friendly bookshelf that also acts as a partition, allowing brilliant light to pass through and separating the meeting room and break room. The wall, constructed using diatomaceous earth, cast stone, and red bricks, serves both a display function and regulates moisture and air quality with the inclusion of various potted plants.

Recognized for its outstanding design, "Beauty of Integration" was awarded the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2019. This accolade acknowledges the project's well-designed, practical, and innovative nature, meeting professional and industrial requirements. The integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics contributes to a better world, fulfilling the needs of both the company and its employees.
