A Sublime Private Residence Designed by Alex Kovachev and Margarita Zafirova

This stunning private residence, aptly named "Bachelor Pad," is the brainchild of renowned designers Alex Kovachev and Margarita Zafirova. Inspired by the powerful yet gentle character of their client, the design blends the luxurious sleek aesthetic of the modern man with the comfort of functionality.

The apartment, situated in the heart of Sofia, Bulgaria, spans 120 square meters and exudes an air of sophistication. The designers have masterfully combined graphic shapes with earthy tones and textures, resulting in a space that is both visually striking and inviting.

One of the standout features of this design is the clever use of geometrical forms in combination with gentle oval shapes. The living area, with its elegant seating, is adorned with marine blue undertones that beautifully contrast with the warm hues of the surrounding earthy tones.

The centerpiece of the living area is a one-of-a-kind marbled built-in kitchen, situated in front of an eight-person dining table. Custom lighting completes the elegant ambiance of the space, creating a focal point that is sure to impress.

When it comes to the realization of this design, the designers have paid meticulous attention to detail. Various natural stones, specially produced for the client, have been used throughout the space, adding a touch of luxury and exclusivity. Additionally, a unique window cabinet for glasses, with holders specifically molded around them, showcases the designers' commitment to both form and function.

Throughout the design process, the team faced several challenges, one of which was the creation of a one-piece marble fireplace. However, their dedication and expertise prevailed, resulting in a centerpiece that perfectly embodies the essence of stability and tranquility.

Since its completion in June 2018, "Bachelor Pad" has served as a private home, providing its owner with a space that seamlessly combines comfort, functionality, and sophisticated aesthetics. This exceptional design has been recognized with the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in 2019, a testament to its outstanding creativity and ingenuity.
