PepsiCo Design & Innovation's Limited Edition Packaging Celebrates Black Panther

The inspiration for this design came from a desire to celebrate the cultural significance of the Black Panther movie while staying true to the Brisk brand. The design team aimed to create something new and memorable that would resonate with the brand's purpose and the film's impact.

The packaging design sets itself apart with its unique properties. A magnetic carton, fully printed with HiLight – Smart LED® lights, illuminates when activated, revealing Wakandan script. This feature not only adds a touch of mystery and intrigue but also showcases the use of advanced technology in packaging design.

The aluminum can, mimicking the Black Panther character, is another standout feature. It boasts a tactile varnish that emphasizes graphic elements and includes a 3D printed attachment inspired by the character's iconic mask. The can's textured effect, achieved with a UV LED direct object printer, brings the character's costume to life, demonstrating the intricate detail and thought put into the design.

This design was not only a celebration of a blockbuster film but also an embodiment of PepsiCo Design & Innovation's commitment to creating unique, memorable, and authentically relevant designs.
