Zenit: A Unique Multifunctional Event Center

Creating Unforgettable Experiences in Mykonos

Zenit, designed by Eleftherios Piskitzis, is a one-of-a-kind event center located on the beautiful Greek Island of Mykonos. With its stunning architecture and innovative design, Zenit offers a wide range of services and aims to provide visitors with an unforgettable experience.

The inspiration behind Zenit comes from nature itself. The design incorporates biomimicry, using the principles of nature to create a unique system. Each space within Zenit is designed separately, yet they all come together harmoniously. The main goal of the design is to protect visitors from the local winds while also maximizing solar design effects and providing breathtaking sea views.

The design of Zenit is not only visually stunning but also environmentally friendly. The external walls are made of local stone, blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings. Green roofs are utilized for passive cooling, reducing the need for artificial cooling systems. UV protected glazing systems allow for ample natural light while minimizing heat gain. Additionally, rainwater is collected and reused for the flora surrounding the center.

Zenit spans across two stories and covers an impressive 4500 square meters. It features an external swimming pool, an underground spa area, an open-air bar, a restaurant, a convention center, and a versatile event space. The center caters to a wide range of events, including conferences, exhibitions, art showcases, fashion events, social gatherings, and entertainment events.

Operating from May to October, 24 hours a day, Zenit is managed by Zenit EE. The center is located next to the legendary night club Cavo Paradiso, making it a prime destination for those seeking a vibrant and dynamic experience on the island.

The design of Zenit was a result of extensive research and creative problem-solving. The team focused on enriching the internal and underground spaces with natural lighting and cooling. Traditional Cycladic architecture served as inspiration, with small windows strategically placed to allow for cross ventilation.

One of the main challenges faced during the design process was creating a space that is both tranquil and dynamic, nestled among the picturesque rocks of Mykonos Island. The final result is a space that seamlessly blends with its surroundings while offering a parallel and vibrant atmosphere.

Zenit's unique design and commitment to sustainability have garnered recognition and accolades. In 2019, Zenit was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building, and Structure Design category. This prestigious award recognizes designs that demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and a commitment to improving quality of life.

Experience the magic of Zenit, where nature meets innovation and unforgettable moments are created. Visit Zenit on the enchanting island of Mykonos and immerse yourself in its captivating atmosphere.
