House Of Light

Interior Design

In a congested land space in Singapore, House of Light introduces a flavor of coherence, pairing with light space and lights attitude. Light space composes line proportion that delusional recreate the living and dining together. An angular line was manifested into these 2 zones that breaks away the original site layout. Series of levitate plank was intervene to greatly emphasize simplicity through geometry.

Relationship, communication, and language became part of the interaction of this house. For instance, a refashion bunk bed keeps the kids entertained yet functional. Steps become storage, a graphic wall sweetens their mood, and a slide connects their sibling relationship together. The conclusion was to cultivate a well-balanced place where the kids love the most.

A tree house scale was casted within the living and dining area, subconsciously cultivating a functional divider for the owner to enjoy the openness and privacy. A grey neutral color was implemented to enable the overall material to strike attention, and blue accents were slowly invaded into a main wall to refresh the overall mood.

The project started in October 2018 and was completed in December 2018, situated in Singapore. The lightness of the house and the lights within the house posed a radical challenge that needed to be dealt with. The overall concept was to contrive a levitate effect, and by doing so, a presentable light source humbly rebrands the entire space. An invented light is introduced to cast a fashionable floating ambient into it.

This design was awarded Iron in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2019.
