Lacime Landscaping Transforms a Warehouse into an Award-Winning Study Space

The Riverside Study is located within the campus of East China Normal University, a prestigious institution known for its blend of Chinese garden landscapes and Western classical teaching buildings. The design team at Lacime Landscaping took inspiration from these elements, as well as the school's badge and the natural growth of plants, to create a unique and cohesive design.

One of the key features of the Riverside Study is its sunken square, a modern design element that adds depth to the otherwise flat terrain. This space, lined with soft yellow wooden steps, serves as a seating area, while the plants growing in the center add a touch of rustic charm. The square is adjacent to a pavilion, harmoniously blending with the study and symbolizing the university's rich history.

The Riverside Study's exterior is as impressive as its interior. The designers used classic red-brown rust panels to enhance the design change and function of the study. The landscape walks along the river are paved with gray stone in fold lines, with different ground covers on the sides. A large area of reflective glass ensures the privacy of the interior while forming a captivating front view of the passage space.

The transformation of the warehouse into a study space was a challenging process, but the result is a testament to Lacime Landscaping's innovative approach to design. The Riverside Study is not just a place for students to study; it is a space that reflects art and humanity, reshaping the concept of space and how people interact with it.
