OBDeleven: Revolutionizing Vehicle Diagnostics

The inspiration for OBDeleven came from the desire to simplify vehicle diagnostics for drivers. Astrauskas wanted to create a device that was easy to connect, small enough to carry, and simple enough for anyone to use. The result is a device that mirrors the color, size, and material of a modern car key, designed to fit perfectly into the OBDII port where it connects.

What sets OBDeleven apart from other diagnostic tools is its unique design and functionality. The device features a solid design with a glowing LED light, allowing drivers to choose a color that matches their car's interior or reflects their personal taste. Unlike other professional-grade diagnostic tools, OBDeleven is the smallest of its kind and includes a strip for easy removal.

OBDeleven is manufactured using high-quality materials and innovative technologies. The matte finish of the plastic surfaces is complemented by shiny elements, creating a sense of luxury. The device measures 41mm in width, 24mm in depth, and 33mm in height.

The device operates wirelessly, connecting to the vehicle's operating system via cloud-based software on a smartphone or tablet. It blends with the car panel when plugged in, and when removed, it can be easily stored in any car storage compartment. The project began in December 2018 in Kaunas and was publicly released in November 2019.

The design of OBDeleven reflects the latest innovations in the automotive industry. It is a more advanced version of its predecessor, based on user experience and perception. The design process involved overcoming several challenges, including transferring the functionality of professional software into the smallest possible design. After four iterations, the device was refined to its sleek shape.

In recognition of its innovative design, OBDeleven was awarded Silver in the A' Vehicle Parts, Auto Accessories and Care Products Design Award in 2020. This award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation. OBDeleven is indeed a testament to Astrauskas's commitment to innovation, simplicity, and quality in design.
