A Unique Poster Design by Adao Liu

This poster design, aptly named "Route," is a remarkable creation by designer Adao Liu. Drawing inspiration from the ruts left by wheels and authentic city typography, this design stands out with its unique visual language.

As a school typography project, Adao Liu embarked on field research to explore authentic typefaces in the city. It was during this exploration that the designer stumbled upon an elegant handwritten font on a van, which became the main source of inspiration for this design.

The double stroke left by markers on the glossy surface of the van became the defining visual element of the "Route" poster. This double stroke not only adds a sense of movement and direction to the design but also creates a visually striking effect.

The name "Route" was chosen for this project for two reasons. Firstly, the inspiration photo was taken from an Uber, capturing the essence of travel and exploration. Secondly, the double lines in the design reminded Adao Liu of the ruts left by wheels, further emphasizing the concept of a journey.

Recognized for its creativity and ingenuity, the "Route" poster design was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration, and Visual Communication Design category in 2020. This prestigious accolade is bestowed upon designs that showcase outstanding technical and creative skills, contributing to improvements in quality of life.
