3D Mondrian: Integrating Art and Design in Living Spaces

A Contemporary Living Environment Inspired by Mondrian's Abstract Art

As an important factor for space atmosphere creation, art can resonate with human’s emotion. The main idea of this project is to integrate Mondrian’s natural-friendly and modern abstract art concept into living environment, trying to give the living space a new sense. The application of Mondrian's representative elements and colors are trying to transform graphic art elements into 3D space.

Percept Design Perceptron Design Group presents 3D Mondrian, a unique and innovative design concept that combines art and technology to create a contemporary living environment. Located in the core ecological scenic spot of Changsha, this project aims to cater to clients with refined art tastes, offering them a living space that is not just a design project but an artistic masterpiece.

The design team at Percept Design Perceptron Design Group has reimagined Mondrian's iconic artistic elements of colors and abstract lines and incorporated them into different functional spaces. By restructuring these elements, they have created an open and contemporary living environment that adheres to modern aesthetic principles. This project explores new living ways and spatial solutions for contemporary Chinese families, providing a balance between public and private spaces to allow every family member to stay close while having their own private area.

One of the unique features of 3D Mondrian is the integration of artificial intelligence to enhance the user experience. When customers enter different spaces, they will have different scene experiences, which are further enhanced through the combination and adjustment of lights, sounds, and smells. The design also incorporates QR codes in each space, allowing customers to scan and gain a better understanding of the space.

The realization of 3D Mondrian involves the use of color, light, intelligence, QR codes, interaction, and interpretation. The design covers an area of approximately 140 square meters and is a testament to the seamless integration of art, design, and technology.

Mondrian's use of primary colors, namely red, yellow, and blue, along with black and white geometric lines, has created a classic element that has remained popular for nearly a century. The design team at Percept Design Perceptron Design Group pays homage to Mondrian's iconic style by incorporating his classic color palette into the overall space. The result is a delicate and elegant background that breaks the visual balance and adds a touch of vibrancy to the living environment.

3D Mondrian has garnered recognition in the design community and was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2020. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The design is respected for integrating industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, providing fulfillment and positive feelings, and contributing to a better world.

3D Mondrian is not just a design project; it is a testament to the power of art and design in creating unique and inspiring living spaces. By combining the timeless appeal of Mondrian's abstract art with modern technology, Percept Design Perceptron Design Group has created a living environment that is both aesthetically pleasing and functionally innovative.
