Blending Soul stands out from other fashion jewellery designs with its striking golden walls and contrasting vivid blue background. The golden pattern on the jewellery carries ancient meanings, while the blue color represents a blending of Chinese and Western cultures. The jewellery pieces in the Blending Soul collection are made using 3D printing technology. They are crafted from 925 silver and plated with 22K gold, resulting in high-quality and durable pieces. The earrings, measuring 5cm x 6cm, feature a simple and modern Chinese knot design that mimics the walls of the Forbidden City.

Elaine Shiu started working on the Blending Soul project in May 2019 and completed the final designs in Italy in July 2019. The collection was exhibited in various fashion events, including Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Tokyo, and New York Fashion Week in 2019.

During her research for this design, Elaine Shiu visited the Forbidden City and the Great Wall of China in Beijing. She drew inspiration from these historical landmarks and decided to incorporate their elements into her jewellery designs. As a Hong Kong fashion designer, Elaine often represents Hong Kong in international fashion weeks, providing her with a platform to showcase the beauty of Chinese culture.

One of the challenges Elaine faced during the development of the Blending Soul collection was applying the fashion blue color directly onto the earrings. This was a departure from the traditional use of gold, silver, and rose gold in fashion jewellery. After months of studying the 3D printing process, Elaine successfully achieved the desired blue color on the earrings.

Another challenge was introducing the new concept of Blending Soul to customers and buyers. Elaine and her team had to spend extra time explaining the ideas behind the products and the production process. They created videos and special leaflets to educate customers about the unique features and materials used in the jewellery.

The Blending Soul collection has received high recommendations from various media outlets and was chosen by the Chinese government to exhibit in the annual cultural event, "文博會". Elaine believes that this collection successfully blends Chinese and Western cultures, and hopes it will inspire other designers to create more special pieces in the future.

Blending Soul has been recognized for its design excellence and innovation. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Jewelry, Eyewear, and Watch Design category in 2020. This prestigious award is given to designs that meet professional and industrial requirements, integrating industry best practices and competent technical characteristics.
