The uniqueness of Edmonds' design lies in its empowerment and embodiment of the spirit of radiance. The dress boldly enhances the human body, with raw and poetic elements that mimic eyes. From the nipple, leather strips strike down, creating an illusion that represents vision and provides structural support. This fusion of poetry and function is where true beauty in design shines.

The realization of this design involved careful consideration of structure, architecture, form, and the body. By using robust materials such as wire and faux leather, the geometric elements were able to hold their shape and create a striking silhouette. The production process also took into account the laws of gravity and the principles of physics, resulting in a dress that combines vintage hip lines with contemporary vision.

While wearable art can sometimes be abstract and less practical, Edmonds has ensured that her design remains wearable. The dress incorporates specific details that allow it to perform with the attributes of the body, making it both visually stunning and functional. Through different systems created to convert art into wearable art, Edmonds has achieved a harmonious balance between artistic expression and practicality.

Edmonds' fashion journey began with extensive research in April 2019, followed by the design process in May 2019. The dress was completed in the summer of June 2019 and showcased on the runway at New York Fashion Week in September 2019.

This design is part of a larger collection that reflects Edmonds' personal journey of self-discovery and identity. Through research and design, she has honed her skills and created a unique material that showcases her growth as an artist.

The "Perception of the Eyes" dress has garnered recognition in the design world, receiving the Bronze A' Design Award in the Fashion, Apparel, and Garment Design category in 2020. This prestigious award recognizes designs that demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and a commitment to improving the quality of life through art, science, design, and technology.
