Graceful Home: A Warm and Graceful Residential Apartment

Creating a Space Filled with Love, Joy, and Comfort

The original house, before redecoration, consisted of one living room, one dining room, one kitchen, and two bedrooms. Recognizing the need for better sunlight and air quality, the design project prioritized the rearrangement of the public areas. The result is a space that flows seamlessly, allowing for improved interaction and a greater sense of openness.

In the bright and white space of Graceful Home, recessed ceiling lights and delicate black geometric embellishments create a modern aesthetic that is both broad and inviting. The use of round furniture and a dedicated kids playroom adds a touch of safety and warmth, making it an ideal space for families to share and enjoy.

With a total area of 132.2 square meters, Graceful Home offers ample space for residents to live comfortably. The apartment is located in Taipei City, Taiwan, and the project was completed on August 24, 2019.

The design of Graceful Home is rooted in extensive research on the use of colors and their impact on space. By skillfully utilizing colors, the design team has created an atmosphere that is warm, comfortable, and refreshing. The open space design and the use of materials with clear textures further enhance the pleasant ambiance of the apartment.

Creating a design that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing comes with its own set of challenges. Ping-Hsin Chen and the design team had to consider various factors, including functionality, materials, craftsmanship, costs, and artistic styles. Through careful planning and attention to detail, they were able to overcome these challenges and create a space that seamlessly integrates all these elements.

Graceful Home has been recognized for its excellence in design and was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2020. This prestigious award is given to designs that meet professional and industrial requirements, showcasing innovation, practicality, and adherence to industry best practices.
