The Congtai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, designed by Design Link Architectural Design Consultant, is a unique and innovative architectural project that pays homage to the historical characteristics of Handan, China. Inspired by the traditional building shape of "urn city" and the surrounding walls of Handan's "Guangfu Ancient City," the exhibition hall features a series of buildings arranged in a rectangular shape, enclosing a central courtyard.

One of the key features of the design is the incorporation of different levels and heights within the buildings. The corridor and roof garden create a dynamic internal landscape, offering visitors a unique spatial experience as they move through the exhibition hall. The central courtyard, typically used by office staff, can also be opened to the public during events, further enhancing the accessibility and versatility of the space.

What sets the Congtai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall apart is its seamless integration of historical and cultural elements with modern architectural design. The simple rectangular plane of the buildings harmonizes with the overall pattern of Handan New City, while the use of traditional building materials such as bronze, wood, and ceramic tiles pays homage to the rich cultural heritage of Handan. This design approach not only reflects the historical characteristics of the millennium ancient city but also expresses traditional cultural intentions through a modern architectural vocabulary.

The Congtai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall has been recognized for its outstanding design and creativity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building, and Structure Design category in 2021.
