Qianhai MCC Technology Building: A Fusion of Elegance and Innovation

Shenzhen Qianhai MCTD Co. Ltd. Transforms Commercial Space Design

The design of the Qianhai MCC Technology Building is unique in its separation of the tower building from the podium building. The tower building's facade is constructed with smooth, straight lines that mimic the curves of a fancy carp. This design choice not only adds a touch of elegance but also allows for different light refractions when the sun hits it from various angles.

The podium building, independent of the tower, integrates commercial and office spaces. It also features a commercial display space with a terrace on top, providing a unique and versatile space for businesses. The designers have used a variety of materials in different parts of the curve-shaped facade to present unique textures, further enhancing the building's aesthetic appeal.

The realization of this design was achieved using double silver Low-e insulating tempered glass and aluminum plate curtain wall, ensuring the facade's effect and various performances. High-performance concrete, high-strength rebar, and steel were used to meet the requirements of a 3-star green building. The steel structure uses weathering steel or weathering anticorrosive paint to improve the architectural structure's durability.

The Qianhai MCC Technology Building covers an area of 6700 square meters. The spacious top area serves as an open working space, offering a clear view of the Qianhai zone. The upper floors follow the layout of four large office spaces, each occupying one corner of the tower building, while the lower floors have a regular space division of six office areas.

The project, which started in 2019 and is set to finish in 2022, faced the challenge of construction during the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite this, the building was constructed according to the design plan and is on track to be completed on time. This achievement is a testament to the dedication and resilience of the Shenzhen Qianhai MCTD Co. Ltd. team.

The Qianhai MCC Technology Building was awarded Silver in the A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award in 2021. This prestigious accolade is awarded to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation. The award recognizes the strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill of the design, showcasing a remarkable level of excellence and introducing positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
