Yimu Design's "Seed Museum": A Unique Reception Center

Embracing Nature and Innocence in Interior Design

The Nine Begonia project is situated in Jiujiang's best school district, making it a perfect location for a reception center that also functions as a playground for children. The designers' inspiration was to create an open commercial space that respects and nurtures children's curiosity and love for nature. The project's unique properties include a golden-ribbon-shaped reception counter that guides visitors into the space and a property model display area with a natural lighting environment.

The negotiation area features a visually striking white coffee bar, entirely paved with BISAZZA mosaic, resembling a soft cloud that decorates the "museum". This innovative design element not only serves a functional purpose but also adds an artistic touch to the space, creating an immersive experience for visitors.

Yimu Design prioritized the use of environmentally friendly and healthy materials in the realization of this project. The walls are colored with wood to emphasize a sense of nature, while large areas of gray terrazzo enhance the integrity and block sense of the flooring. Art paint is used to express the environmental theme and deepen the level of visual effects.

The project faced the challenge of creating artificial natural light. The lighting design fully considered the relationship among light, people, space, material, and color, adopting ways of simulating natural light to compensate for the lack of natural light. This approach resulted in more comfortable user experiences and added to the overall immersive feel of the space.

The Nine Begonia project was recognized with a Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2021. This prestigious award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation. The award is a testament to Yimu Design's commitment to creating spaces that blend innocence, modern art, and nature, providing more than just a simple exhibition hall but a space that embraces and nurtures the curiosity and imagination of both children and adults.
