A Modern and Spacious Villa Blurring Interior and Exterior Spaces

This sustainable and spacious villa, known as Nanshan Courtyard, pushes the boundaries of traditional architecture by seamlessly blending interior and exterior spaces. Designed by Shenzhen Fanst Design Co., Ltd, this high-end modern five-story villa is a testament to the team's creativity and attention to detail.

The design team took inspiration from the Chinese garden-style design technique to create a free and mobile viewing space. The villa's overall tone is beige, with advanced gray accents, creating a harmonious and sophisticated ambiance. The use of these colors adds warmth and elegance to the living spaces.

One of the unique features of Nanshan Courtyard is the lighting design in the living room. The lighting fixtures, high above the room, are made of dark copper metal and transparent slices, creating the illusion of a floating dragon. This innovative design not only adds a touch of artistry to the space but also aligns with the villa's commitment to environmental protection.

The villa spans five floors, each with its own purpose and design. The underground floor serves as a leisure area, banquet hall, and exhibition space. Comfortable furniture is carefully placed in the leisure area, creating a relaxed atmosphere for residents and guests. The second floor provides private rooms for privacy, with round tables that encourage intimate communication.

The design team faced several challenges in bringing their vision to life. One of the notable challenges was connecting the upper and lower layers of two different house types. To overcome this, structural columns were added to bring the terrace into the living room, creating a duplex living space. The protruding glass case on the second floor breaks the square pattern of the living room, while three huge French windows offer breathtaking views of the surroundings.
