The A&P Bali Office is a unique office design that marries culture with modern elements, resulting in a rustic and industrial feel. The 300 square meter old house has been transformed into a space that exudes atmosphere and charm.
The design features rustic solid wood treated in a natural finish, custom metal basin, and cement floors. These elements come together to create a visual of spaciousness and a state of soothing and calmness. The use of natural materials and the surrounding environment were key considerations in the design process.
The A&P Bali Office includes two gigantic pivot doors that allow for a seamless flow into the main hall. A long gesture of a rectangular custom metal basin adds a linear and minimal touch. The cement floors and walls are coated in white, enhancing the visual of spaciousness. The cabins are treated with pivoted wooden doors that have integrated handles, achieving a clean elevation.
The project started in February 2014 and was completed in July 2015. Throughout the design process, the challenge was to inject new life into the old space while retaining some of its original details, such as the roof. Combining old and modern materials, like metal, was a creative and technical challenge that was successfully overcome.
The A&P Bali Office is a testament to the successful integration of culture and modern elements. The use of natural wood paired with steel creates a unique and unexpected atmosphere of soothing calmness. This design has been recognized for its excellence and was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2016 in the category of Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design.
